Accessing Working Capital

In the Summer of 2010, FMA hosted the Speakers' Series, Accessing Working Capital, at the Chicago Cultural Center. Over 100 nonprofit executives attended the event, which focused on the best practices of building reserves, conversations with board members about accessing reserves, and the changing role of bankers and lines of credit. The panelists for the speakers’ series included Harry Wells, CEO from Chicago Youth Center, Denis Hurley, CFO from Metropolitan Family Services, David Crossett, a Board Member at Gads Hill Center, and Clare Golla from Shore Bank.

Leadership Through Innovation:
Business Solutions that Strengthen Nonprofits

In the Spring of 2010, FMA and ERE hosted an annual event for clients and close associates. This year's event featured keynote, Linda Gibbs, Deputy Mayor of Health & Human Services of NYC.

After Deputy Mayor Linda Gibbs shared the City’s view of innovation and its potential impact on the nonprofit sector, Gretchen Dykstra moderated a panel of speakers who represented a diverse perspective on innovative leadership – from a successful Executive Director who leads through innovation at his nonprofit, to an author who has published books on what works and doesn’t when it comes to innovation.
